There are numerous ministries at Redlands CRC that occur each week. Below is some brief information about each, if you would like more information, just click on the title of that ministry.
Sunday Worship Services
Sundays 9am and 5pmOur worship services are relaxed and friendly, but seek to maintain a holy reverence for God, our Creator, Redeemer and Friend. They begin with a declaration that "Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, who faithfully keeps His Word and never forsakes the works of His hands" and end with God's blessing upon His people. The focus of our worship is Jesus Christ, the Word of God, as he comes to us by His Word and Spirit. He is the One we read about in the Bible, and He is the One whom we preach about in the sermon. The reading of Scripture and the preaching of the Word are the most important part of the worship service. He is also the One in whose name prayers of thanksgiving, repentance, praise and intercession are made. Our singing is a mixture of traditional and contemporary hymns and songs of praise and seeks to reflect the whole range of human responses to God's grace in Jesus Christ.
[email protected] is a vital ministry here at Redlands Christian Reformed Church. It is for Primary School aged children. Starting age is 4 or turning 4 in 2007 through to year 7. Through song, worship, craft, games and activities, as well as Bible stories and kids talks we present Jesus in a way that is fun & relevant for the children of our church and community.
We provide quality, age-specific programs that the children enjoy and look forward to attending! [email protected] is a great place for children to develop healthy friendships in a fun and safe environment. Our team love kids and are committed to teaching your children.
WeeklyThe study of the Bible is vital for the health of every Christian. Many of our members meet in small groups on a week night in each other's homes. Normally, groups consist of several members who live close to each other and come together during the week for a time of fellowship, Bible study, prayer and sharing of individual concerns and experiences.
Friday Nights FortnightlyGEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting their Saviour) is the Reformed Church of Australia's program for girls aged about 10 to 16. Like Cadets, it is run to a fixed program and includes Bible study, craft and badge activities, games, outings, camps and inter-club activities. Girls are required to wear the GEMS uniform and can progress through various levels of membership. As part of the wider denomination, they have combined camps and share in the national program of activities.
Wednesdays FortnightlyEach Wednesday fortnight a group of mums meet here at Redlands CRC for two hours of refreshment, connection with other mums and some valuable time out where our little ones are cared for by loving, responible carers. At MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) we seek to provide a place where mums can be nurtured and friendships can be formed. Our program varies but usually we enjoy morning tea together, a guest speaker and craft.
MonthlyGolden Oldies is RCRC's ministry for the senior members of our church. The goal of Golden Oldies is to provide a time of fellowship, friendship, time out and encouragement for one another. Meeting once a month on a Wednesday morning Golden Oldies meetings often include spending time singing old hymns and playing games. Outings include picnics and a once-a-year car rally. Friends are welcome.
Triple C Club
This is a women’s fellowship group that meets every Tuesday morning for devotions, craft, coffee and (if not so interested in craft) games. Once a fortnight our craft mornings are followed by a bible study and lunch and we also have monthly outings. Feel free to join us for a coffee, chat and friendship with other ladies from your local neighbourhood.
The TribeThe Tribe is a fun and exciting brand new youth group run especially for young boys between Grades 3 and Grade 7. Run in conjunction with the already established girls group GEMS, The Tribe will cater for all the needs of the young growing primary aged boy. The program is a very fast paced and jam packed with lots of energetic activities such as “Tribal Wars” and also practical manly activities such as how to change a tyre on a car. Along with all the exciting rough and tumble the boys will be in an environment where they will be shown what it is like to live as a man of God and have the opportunity to ask those tough growing up questions during small group and spiritual input times.
