If you ever get a little slack in your faith, you can be sure that you're not the only one. The knowledge of our salvation can make it easy for us to get complacent in our confidence. But Peter encourages us to live out our salvation by adding to our faith goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, kindness and love. While only God can save, we are called to make every effort to live out the grace he has shown us and make our calling and election sure. 1 Peter 1:3-11.
