The Story Of Samson

Samson was definitely a guy with a touch of the “big-man” syndrome. He was a powerful hot-head with a lot of unruly habits. And yet, despite all his ‘issues’ he was man appointed by God to lead the Israelites to rescue and repentance. It’s easy for us to focus on the man in this story, the things he did right and the things he did wrong, but as with every story in the bible the correct focus is on God and what he is doing. It is God’s size that matters – the fact that he is big and we are small, he is strong and we are weak. Only in his strength can we hope to measure-up and be used for his purposes.
