When you get right down to it, Samson has all the characteristics of a terrorist. He's a freedom-fighting, lone-range guerrilla whose vicious acts of vengeance would've struck fear into the heart of anybody. As I said in the first week - he was a psycho!
And yet, what is so unbelievable about the story of Samson is that God stands by this vengeful man, even after he repeatedly exhibits his glaring vices. But God doesn't remain faithful to Samson because of who Samson is... He remains faithful to him for his own purposes - his purposes to deliver and to teach and to judge. God stands by the psycho because he loves his people.
