This week we see the climactic downfall of our psycho saviour Samson. He's never been what you'd call a 'standup citizen', but it's at the end of his career that he hits a new low. Like so many men in the Old Testament, he's brought down by a deceptive lover and his own weakness for women. She is Delilah. And in this story we find tow lessons, a moral one and a theological one. We learn from Samson that seduction is a real killer because it draws us away from our faithful God. And we learn from Samson that we are in need of a true Saviour without the weaknesses and failures of a sinful man. Jesus. Read Judges 16:1-21.
