I wonder if any of got great surprises on Christmas morning. Maybe it was an unexpected gift, or a surprise visitor. Christmas has a habit of throwing up the odd suprise here and there. The same was true of the very first Christmas, Mary and Joseph got more than they bargained for. This Sunday, we will continue looking at the gospel of Luke, this time focussing on some of the events immediately the birth of Christ. Here we are introduced to two faithful servants of God, waiting for the coming Messiah. And they have some pretty startling things to say about this child, that will change the face of this world.
For the next 3 Sundays we will be having the same sermon in AM and PM services.
