Jesus came into this world, not just as a man or even a King... He came into this world as God's Son, which he tells us in Luke 2:49. He came as God's only Son to be about God's work in this world. And what is that work? To make God's created people his sons and daughters as well. God's Son comes to bring forgiveness so we can be the co-heirs of life and salvation. At 12 years of age Jesus points to this amazing mission and the reason he came into this world. Read Luke 2:41-52.
