KEITH IS "RETIRING"
Last Sunday we announced to the church that after nearly five years of service here, Keith is going to 'retire' from his official ministry position here at Redlands CRC. For those who do not know, Keith, already in his 70's at the time, came out of retirement in 2005, moved to Brisbane, and began serving in the church 2 days a week. Shortly after he married Emmy, and they, together, have done a tremendous amount of service within the church, for which we have been truly thankful to God. They have served in preaching, pastoral work, church leadership, diaconal, small groups and many more.
This Sunday will make the 'official retirement' of Keith from this position. It will be an opportunity for us to thank God for his goodness and faithfulness to us, and the celebrate Keith and Emmy's ministry among us. In the 9am service we will have Keith preaching, and some chances for us to express our praise to God.
For this reason we are also asking you to bring along a plate of food to share after the morning service, for a morning tea.
Please come along on Sunday morning as we give thanks together, a continue to pray for Keith and Emmy as they transition into a new phase of life, and the church council as we seek to address some of the changes to ministry at RCRC.
