Alpha - Who have you invited?
Next week we will be starting a number of Alpha Small Groups. These groups will be covering the Alpha material; a straightfoward, easily understood presentation of Jesus, his work and what it means to be his follower.
WHO HAVE YOU INVITED?
There are people we come in contact with every day who need to hear this life saving and life changing message. People that you and I have been praying for. Praying for an opportunity to speak or invite. Maybe today is that opportunity.
WHAT IS THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEN?
So maybe someone says "no" OK, its not easy to hear that, but its not the end of the world. But what if they say "yes"... Just imagine where that could go.
I encourage you to firstly pray. Pray for God's Spirit to be at work, pray for people to be open and receptive, pray for the gospel to change lives.
And then I encourage you to take a boold step of faith and invite. Don't worry about how you might put it, that you might stumble over your words, or make a meal of it. God's bigger than our words, his power is made perfect in our weakness.
