I wonder if you have ever asked yourself "Am I really a Christian?" I am guessing that the question has been posed by all of us, myself included. There are lots of things that can cause us to doubt, but my guess is that it always comes when we are looking to and relying on ourselves. As a follow up to the Sermon on the Mount, someone posed the question "How do we know we are on the right track?" and so to answer that we want to have a look at 1 John 4:13-21 and see that God given assurance comes exactly as it says - from God, and his love for us, as it works through our lives.
