GLOBAL MARKET DAY (is back)
Saturday 11 Sept; 11am-3pm
Global Market Day is a unique initiative in our local area. On this day we partner with organisations, businesses, community groups and people who are passionate about the poor. GMD is about creating an opportunity for people to buy goods and support projects that empower developing countries overseas. Our stall holders either buy from or support such communities and use ethical and sustainable practices. In addition we want to increase awareness around how we can do more than simply give our money, but also use our voice to demand that manufacturers, retailers and governments to work for a more just world. The church does not benefit financially from this event. Rather it is run as an expression of our experience of God's love and commitment to serve others.
