Joanna Kippen and Michael McLaughlin will be married on Saturday, as also will Leanne Larsen and John Pittock. It's great to see couples keen to make Jesus the head of their relationship, and to express their belief that marriage is not so much about a day, but a life together in God's grace.
We also remember Maree, Terry & Royce Woolnough after the funeral of Maree's mother last Tuesday. We celebrate the comfort of Jesus' victory over death for all who trust him.
There is so much great ministry and mission going on! Global Market Day, Be Her Dignity, the A21 Trivia Night, Backyard Mission, as well as the general ministries of HSM, CCC, Gems, Young Adults, small groups, mentoring, growing interest in church planting - just so much evidence of God doing his work in people!
In 10 days time we'll be voting for a new Government. Knowing how to cast one's vote requires much discernment. Pray that God will give us wisdom, and that come the evening of August 21 we will have a Government which will advance his Kingdom and be an agent of good for his world (see Romans 13).
