Kids@Church

As this Sunday 11th June is Gems/Cadets Sunday all the children in grades 4
to 7 will remain in church to join in with the service.  It will not be
necessary to sign these children in at the registration desk.  The children
in Kindy to Grade 3 will go to Kids@Church at 9.00am as usual.

ALSO

It's coming up to school holiday time again and we are looking for 6 adults
to help supervise our Kids@Church holiday program. This program caters for
children
in the prep to grade 3 classes and runs for approx 45 mins during the Sunday
morning service. This is an extremely simple task and involves showing up
and supervising some planned activities. Your help will enable our K@C
teachers to have a well deserved break.

We need 2 adults for each of the following dates:
        Sunday 25th June,
        Sunday 2nd July and
        Sunday 9th July.

If you are available please reply to Emmi or Jo.
THANK YOU

Brisbane Kids Games Update

There is a frenzied amount of activity happening at the moment to do with BKG, which is only 14 days away. There are lessons being prepared, dramas being rehearsed, crafts being organized, sports activities pulled together, enrolments rolling in and many other bits and pieces. We are thankful to God for everything that he has provided, and thankful to the church for the way in which we have got behind the ministry. Even if you have no hands on involvement in the Games, please read this section, especially the prayer points at the bottom.

For Parents:

The last week has seen a number of enrolments come in, and with the sign at the front of the church, we expect this to increase soon. If you have children, or friends of your children, that you would like to enroll, please do so this week. Please see this as a great opportunity to get families in your neighborhood introduced to the church.

For those who have enrolled, you will receive in the next couple days more information, as well as a medical and indemnity form to return. This is standard practice for churches involved in this ministry, so your help in getting them back ASAP is appreciated.

For volunteers:

Thanks to all those who have volunteered, its much appreciated. Just a few reminders:

Please hand in your application to serve in Children’s and Youth Ministry  this week. With references to check we would value getting these in soon.

Tomorrow is the last day to order polo shirts. Please see or email Clinton  with your size if you want one.

If you are a group leader / helper, please let Clinton know if you a  preference for which age group you are working with.

For all:

We really need and value your prayers at this time. In the foyer of the  church there is a basket with prayer cards in it. These are color coded, each color prays for a specific aspect of BKG. So if a particular aspect jumps out at you, please take a card and pray for these things.

Here are some more general prayer points:

• Thank God for this wonderful opportunity.
• Pray for the children who have enrolled who don’t know Christ, that the Spirit would open up their hearts to receive and respond to the Word.
• Pray for more enrollments, so that more families would be reached.
• Pray for safety and purpose in the things that we do for the week
• Pray for the opening ceremony, closing ceremony, and Family Night – that parents too may be impacted by the message that we give, verbally, and in love shown to them and their children.
• Pray for the team as they work on all the preparations.
