So David is nice and settled as king. He has a great palace, a time of peace, lots of wives, a growing family. And so David thinks, what can I do for God? He sees the Ark of God in a tent, looks at his house and says, “I know, I’ll build a house for God.” But God comes back with the most amazing promise for David, he will establish David, his family, and the nation, FOREVER. Its not ‘what I can do for God’, but ‘what God can do for me’. Read ahead in 2 Samuel 7
