June 09: The Lost
Read: Matthew 9:35-38
Observe: Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). When He is confronted with lost people, harassed and helpless, His heart is grieved. Lost people matter to Him. This scene drives the Saviour to prayer! He prays for workers who will bring the good news of His grace and life to the lost. He prays for His people to be what He calls them to be.
Pray:
· That God will help you feel compassion for the lost
· That you will feel their helplessness, and how they are harassed by their separation from God
· That God will use us to bring the message of Jesus’ grace, the wonder of his hope, and the reality that he is the Good Shepherd
