June 11 – The Lost
Read: Luke 19:1-10 Seek and save the lost
Observe: Zacchaeus was despised by his own people. Too friendly with the enemy. Too sly to be trusted. A loser. A lost cause. But not to Jesus: He came for the broken, the straying, the confused, the rejected. Such people, by grace, become the theatre of God’s transforming grace. Can you imagine the wonderful outcome of God’s grace in the people we regard as losers?
Pray:
· Jesus came to seek the lost. Pray that we might also seek them. Think of “lost” people you know, who need God’s love, grace, and forgiveness. Bring them to his throne of grace.
· Jesus came to save the lost. Pray we will move out of our comfort zones, and that our words and actions will be used by God to reflect the rescue won by Jesus in the Cross
· Land developments: discussions are still at a critical stage. Please pray for patience (i.e. ours), and that God’s will might be done. Pray that he will open the doors he wants us to walk through.
