On the surface the book of Philemon seems to be about a runaway slave, his conversion and then Paul's attempt to have him reunited with his master. And that is certainly the story behind the letter. But interwoven in this story is so much teaching on the nature of Christian Community. That as the body of Christ, we are created by Christ and for Christ, to share an imitate Christ's work by forgiving each other. So, as we have been in the AM services the last month, this Sunday, by studying Philemon, we will look at Real Community.
