Mid Week News
This Sunday
AM: "Is this the right room for an argument?" Can you use a confrontational style to witness effectively? Peter did (Acts 2:14-41) - but how does it apply to us in an age of vilification legislation and political correctness?
PM: John Hoogenhout is our guest preacher. He will be looking at what the Bible says about Hell, and more importantly, what Jesus has done about it. We will also be celebrating the Lords Supper in the evening service: all those whose hope is in Jesus Chris and who renew their promise to live a Godly life are welcome to join us in this celebration.
Special Appeal for Indonesian Earthquake Victims: Sunday
Many of us were able to form warm ties with the Indonesian visitors who stayed with us during the Synod in May. Church Council has been encouraged that people are looking for more ways to express their solidarity with those whose livelihoods have been so tragically impacted by this disaster. So in addition to the money already raised, a further opportunity will be given to donate via specially marked envelopes on Sunday July 9. In addition to this, a further amount of $3000 will be set aside from RCRC's income tithe. These extra funds will be channelled to the Javanese Christian Churches via their aid wing, who will then distribute these gifts for maximum impact. None of the monies given will be used for administration. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity, and give generously coming Sunday.
Breakfast: July 22, 7:30am EVERYONE is invited!
We have planned a follow up breakfast for the morning of Saturday July 22 (7:30am – 9:30am). We will be discussing what God has taught us over this last month, and seeking to clarify aspects of our future planning and what our property needs may be. These meetings are important times for everyone in the congregation: young, old, newcomers and people who have been with us since the Mansfield days. We need you all there! Please mark this date in your diary now, and make a point of being there. We want to know you are coming, so send an email to office@redlandscrc.org.au and tell us how many places you need.
