5pm service: Be a Good Workman
Faced with persecution and opposition, Paul urged Timothy to continue his preaching and teaching ministry without fear or shame, utilising the gifts given to him by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us to be wise and strong and God honours our confident testimony, even when we suffer. To overcome the fear of what people might say or do, we must take our eyes off people and focus on Jesus. We can count on opposition and hardship as we serve Christ, but He will give us the strength we need to persevere. "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."
