AM: Our sin for Christ's Righteousness - 2 Corinthians 5:14-6:2
Our sin for Christ's righteousness. It's hardly an equitable trade is it? The Holy God of heaven takes all of our brokenness and sin and places it on His perfect and sinless son, Jesus. In turn He gives us a right standing before Him. As incomprehensible as it seems this is foundational to all that we believe. Everything in the life of the Christian flows from this great though often misunderstood truth. This morning we are going to begin to unpack what this means for our daily lives and the impact it will have upon our community.
PM: Preparing for Marriage - 1 Peter 3:1-7
Finding a marriage partner is like buying a new pair of jeans. You look around, try a few on and pick something that feels comfortable, makes you look good and doesn't cost you too much. Right? Well, not quite. If we view dating and singleness like this, its pretty likely that our marriage is going to run into a few problems. Dating, and singleness are both times of preparing for marriage. So this Sunday night we are going to look at what God says about marriage and then work back to see what he says about dating and singleness.
