Easter is coming!

Dear Redlands family,

This weekend we are only four weeks away from Easter. I wanted to encourage you to start planning ahead. Have you invited anyone to come with you yet?

Good Friday and Easter Sunday are some of the most well attended services. These will be  prime opportunities for people to think about Jesus and be challenged by the power of his grace. There’s little doubt that visitors at these services are interested in knowing more about the Jesus who gave his life for us.

This year, our Easter services will follow the theme "Time for a Fresh Start." They will be messages where we will see how God gives the opportunity to start again and enjoy a new relationship with him. Could there be a more timely message?

Who of your relatives, neighbors, and co-workers do you want to see come to Christ this Easter?  People are more likely to be open to your invitation at Easter than at any other time of year. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to invite them to one of our services!

Here's how you can fulfill your mission at Easter:

1. Ask God to show you who to invite.

2. Bring a different friend to each of our services! One on Good Friday 9am, one on Easter Sunday 9am, one Easter Sunday evening at the showground!

3. Pray that people will commit their lives to Christ this Easter.

4. Greet everyone around you. There will be a lot of first-time visitors. Please be a friend for them.

We have already been busy planning drama, music and some other very special aspects. Please surround all of this with prayer: do it at home, in your small groups, as your programs meet, in your time alone with God.

It’s so great to see the church working together to glorify God, nurture the church to maturity, and bring others to Christ!

Until next time,
