9am: How do we as a church decide which ‘model' of ministry to pick? There are lots out there, some of them are very attractive. But what criteria do we use to choose them. For the early church, the model was very simple. They had seen Jesus at work, believed that Jesus continued to work through them, and so they went about ministry the same way Jesus did. Simple. But that was 2000 years ago. Things are very different now. Surely that couldn't work in our time. Or could it? Or should it? Read ahead in Acts 3
5pm: Is Christianity a religion? Is religion good or bad? Why does everyone view religion so negatively these days? You might have heard it say that religion is all about what people try to do to reach God, and Christianity is what God is doing to reach people. While this is true, we want to look at the place of religion in our Christian lives. Does it have any place, and if so, what is it?
Baptism - Sunday Night This Week
This Sunday night we have the privilege of celebrating the baptism of Kezia Berends during the 5pm service.
Come along and celebrate with us.
Place to Live
Dear RCRC!!!
Lance and I have really enjoyed our time at RCRC and getting to know so many wonderful friends! God is so faithful and we are learning to be in constant dependance upon Him as we live in this world but not of this world! So wonderful that our hope is in HEAVEN!!! We have been blessed with the landscaping work and a place to live up until Jan. 22, 2008. I have started teaching swimming lessons at Ormiston College! That has been amazing and a wonderful witnessing tool to the community! If any one knows of any who have a granny flat for rent, or any other living options please let us know. We are still awaiting my Permanent Residency Visa, and are not sure at this point where the Lord will be leading us once the visa is granted. So, until then, we need a place to live.
Please call us if you can help us out! We would really appreciate it! Thank you!
May God richly bless you as only HE can!
Eternally Serving HIM,
Lance and Ruth Bishop
