Sunday
9am: For thousands of years those who chose for God have met with opposition. Persecution - whether big or small - has always been with us. Even today millions are suffering for the Kingdom of Jesus.
How is that true of us? How does opposition for Jesus' sake bring blessedness and joy?
5pm: We all want the blessing of God in our lives, right? Surely its not a bad thing to want the blessing of God? We want peace, joy, security. Its only natural. People in Amos' day wanted exactly the same things - and they even wanted them to be of the "God" variety. Only probably was, they bypassed God to get them. They chose ‘experiences' of God, over God himself. They chose the good of themselves, over the good of others God had called them to. So it makes us ask, when we desire these things - are we seeking them from God - or are we bypassing him altogether. Read ahead in Amos 5.
