Sunday

9am: Persisting in Prayer: Gen 12-21 Abram first heard God's promise about a son when he was 75 years old. The promise was fulfilled 25 years later. His life tells us something about persistence and humility. How did he deal with the delay in fulfilment: not particularly well. And if that how Abram managed, what hope have we got? How will we stick it out?

5pm: When Amos predicted hope for the faithful few in Israel, even he was probably not aware of how much of God's grace was still to be revealed. Thousands of years later, we can look back and see that
there was great hope beyond such harsh punishment. Not only did the Lord bring some of his people back from exile, he also sent Jesus to bring hope for all who would believe. This was God's greatest act of
mercy. Yet, this hope still stands in contrast with God's wrath as a warning to people - to have any hope at all they must return to him. By turning from plastic religion to Godly faith, all people can still
come to know the hope of God's promises and life in Jesus as we wait for the final judgement.

Thank You!

The Hudson Family would like to say a 'BIG' Thank-you to everyone who has supported us during the past two weeks of Michelle's Neck Rehabilitation. This includes: thoughts, prayers and especially those who supplied us with lovely, hot meals at the end of very long days for both Michelle and Gary. We really appreciate the love and care that was shown to us!!! Thanks to the Pastoral Care Team for organising this for us!!!

Prayer Points

  • - Mrs Willy Haslip, who had been part of Redlands CRC up to a few years ago, died on Monday morning. Willy has a strong faith, and loved being part of Redlands CRC family. She died peacefully after what appeared to be a stroke on Monday morning. Despite here advanced years (Willy was a bit over 91), she loved praising God for his goodness in Jesus. Her funeral will be held at the Russell Firth - Integrity Funerals' Chapel, 18 Tonga Pl, Parkwood on Friday at 11:00am. Please pray for Willy's family, and for Dave as he prepares to lead the funeral. Ask that the wonderful news of Jesus' grace and love will be heard and received in this time of grief.
  • - Continue to pray for the nation of Myanmar as the military leaders stall on the matter of foreign aid. Pray for the justice of God and the compassion of the Kingdom to be seen. Pray for the destitute and homeless, and that aid set aside by RCRC and the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia will be effective in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ
  • - Continue to pray for the sale of Boundary Rd which we have approved. It is not yet a certainty as to whether it will in fact proceed. These things are in God's hands, so please pray that the outcome will bring him glory and honour.
