9AM: It's so easy to fall into the trap of feeling like we deserve to be followers of Jesus. One minute we're thinking of God's grace and how much he's done for us, the next minute we're trying to earn our way into the good books. After a while we begin to take God's grace for granted and see ourselves doing all the hard work. But following Jesus means living a life of complete humility - daily recognizing our unworthiness and daily thanking him for his love and salvation. In Luke 14:15-24 it's not what we think. The acceptance of grace does not give us status, but humbles us over and over again.
5PM: What's that in your hands? - In the same way that God used what was in Moses hands (and by all measures, it wasn't much), he fully intends to use what is in your hands. Your time, your opportunities, your resources. But God does not really force your hand, he wants to work and act through your choice and the exercise of your restored will. So: what's in your hands? What have you been given? What are you going to do with it to display God's big picture?
Kids Games Opening Ceremony
Date: 29th June (this Sunday)
Where: Mansfield High School (parking on street or in Uniting Church across road)
Time: 1.30-3.30pm
Bring: Hat, Waterbottle, Sunscreen & something to sit on.
