Mid Week News
SUNDAY
9am: Mail from Jesus! How exciting, and how intimidating at the same time! What is the Lord writing to us, yes, also to us, for a 2000-yr. old letter still speaks to the Church of today! Amazing, but true!
This morning we will focus on the author of the correspondence in Revelation 2 and 3. John is the writer and Jesus is the author. He is the One who walks amidst His people, and the clearer we see Him with the eye of faith, the clearer we will reflect Him to those around us!
Getting to know Jesus better, may well be the best tool to evangelise the Redlands!
5pm: When we look around at the world we live in, the over-arching message is that to survive, you need to look out for number one (yourself that is). Many of us would know that Jesus calls us to look out for others but would not be aware of the extent to which we are to do it and the consequences of following the world's 'me first' path. In Luke 17, Jesus has a hard lesson to teach the apostles, and in turn us. Read the first 10 verses if you want a sneak peak.
Blokes World - Men's Breakfast
Saturday 19th July - See attachment.
There will be hot food and a hot Hoogie speaking - the breakfast is a lead in to a new teaching series that Dave is doing directly aimed at men. For catering purposes we need people to RSVP to Sherri (The info is on the flyer) - it would be great for you to promote this to all your friends.
SMALL GROUPS
Sunday 20th July is SMALL GROUPS DAY. If you are not in a Small Group already this day will give you an opportunity to sign up to a new group, or if you are in a group, you can either sign up again for the group you are in or maybe you have been thinking about a change - this is your chance to join another group.
Sometimes our circumstances change during the year and we would like to find a group on a different day - have a look at what's on offer or talk to us (Clinton, Marg, Sherri or Small Group leaders) about your special needs. We would like everyone to find a group where they can belong and be part of the small communities which make up our larger community of RCRC. (If you can't make it to church on the 20th there will still be opportunity to sign up after that.)

The role has includes the following:
- - Setting up equipment on Tuesday (fortnightly) for the following day (approx I hour, Miranda can come to help with this)
- - Ensuring enough carers available each MOPS meeting
- - Arrive at 9.00 (MOPS days) finish set up. Welcome carers, mums and kids.
- - Pack up equipment at 11.30
- - Occasional meetings with MOPS steering team (Wendy and co) to discuss programs and events.
Would you please consider whether this is something that you would be able/willing to have responsibility for?
