 Blokes World Men's Breakfast - Saturday 8am

There will be hot food and a hot Hoogie speaking -  the breakfast is a lead in to a new teaching series that Dave is doing directly aimed at men. For catering purposes we need people to RSVP to Sherri communitylife@redlandscrc.org.au

Sunday

9am: One of the most common instructions given to New Testament Christians is that they are to forgive others. The sheer number of times that it is mentioned makes two things immediately obvious. Firstly, that Christians are not immune to hurting and hurting others. It's a sad fact, but we carry around the scars of life. Secondly, its not a simple issue, and its not that easy to do. This Sunday, as we begin our "I have a friend who struggles with..." series, we will be looking at the issue of forgiveness. We'll see that its more than a matter between me and another person, it's a matter of Christ, and it's a matter for the whole community of Christ.

5pm: Your Career as a Male Model - The importance of positive role models for kids.
What is it that men don't get about being a positive example for young children - especially boys? How can following Jesus lead us out of this quagmire?

SMALL GROUPS

Sunday 20th July is SMALL GROUPS DAY.  If you are not in a Small Group already this day will give you an opportunity to sign up to a new group, or if you are in a group, you can either sign up again for the group you are in or maybe you have been thinking about a change - this is your chance to join another group.
Sometimes our circumstances  change during the year and we would like to find a group on a different day - have  a look at what's on offer or talk to us (Clinton, Marg, Sherri or Small Group leaders) about your special needs.  We would like everyone to find a group where they can belong and be part of the small communities which make up our larger community of RCRC. (If you can't make it to church on the 20th there will still be opportunity to sign up after that.)

Prayer

-  Fiona Lyons is travelling to New Zealand next week. This is another big bocce tournament, and Fiona is pretty nervous. Please pray for peace, safety, and that Fiona will be able to be a great witness to Jesus as she travels

- Please pray for Anna Verkruissen, who will undergo a serious operation on her back this month. It involves screwing a plate to her spine with 5 screws. Pray for guidance for the doctors and healing and patience for Anna and Albert.

- Pray for all those who are suffering winter ailments such as colds and flu. Pray for comfort and healing.

- Give thanks for the rain we have had over the past few weeks.

- Continue to pray for Melody, as she is ministering love to the needy in South Africa. Also remember her on her birthday this Sunday!
