Car Wash Saturday 8am - 12noon
Our tank is full!!!! Sign up for a shift (or two) by emailing Malcolm Van Basten with your availability (vanbasten@royalfoods.com.au)
We need people to wash cars, carry and re-fill buckets, organise refreshments and chat to the customers. This is one of those great times when our community comes to us - and an opportunity for everyone to take part (and have some fun as well.)
Sunday
9am: So much to be thankful for... It has been one year since Clinton and Tracey were given the really bad news "you may have till Christmas 2007". God has wonderfully and gloriously intervened, and while we have said that for the last six months, we're going to say it publicly on Sunday. We're having a special service of thanksgiving, prayer, and rejoicing. While Clinton's anniversary is largely in view, there are other reasons for thanksgiving: it's Fathers Day, it's Keith Warren's 75th birthday, God is at work in his people in some very special ways, not to mention the commencement of our bricks and mortar extension. It's also true, however, that life is less than certain, and some in the body of Christ are struggling, so as well as our thanksgiving, we'll be bringing prayers of intercession and request before God as well. Dave & Clinton are both speaking - though quite briefly (true!). The main focus will be prayer and singing. It promises to be a great day of worship for the body of Christ, so make an extra effort to come and share the celebration.
There will also be extra goodies afterward with (real) coffee, and (real) nice food. This is a biblical thing (see Acts 2:46, Luke 15) Small Groups: remember you part in this!
5pm: Throughout his letter, John seeks to assure his readers of their life in Christ and give them confidence of where that life leads them:
Eternal Life. This confidence does not come from ourselves or our actions, but from Jesus and his actions. However, as that confidence grows within us, it becomes evident in the way we live as we live in obedience to Christ. In John's gospel we are called to believe, and in his letter we are called to know... Know that by believing we receive eternal life!
Sunday Celebration Service and Morning Tea
All are invited to the special Celebration Service and Morning Tea to follow this coming Sunday morning. We are celebrating God's gift of life and the blessings He has poured out on our church community. Each Small Group has been asked to contribute special things to the morning tea and all other contributions will also be welcome... so bring a plate if you like, and join us as we rejoice together.
Monday
Mr Arthur Mostert passed away last Monday evening. He was 90 years of age, and had not been well for some time. We give thanks to God that our brother has been taken to glory, and commend his wife Ger and the family to His loving care.
There will be a Thanksgiving service in the Redlands Church on Monday, at 11.30 am.
DATABASE UPDATE
We would like to update the records in the church database. Over the next couple of weeks we will have the current database information set out in the foyer for you to check as you come or go from church.
Please check -
1. That we have details for you and all your family
2. That all details are current and accurate.
Please fill out forms with any changes and leave them in the box provided. We will assume that your information is correct if you don't ask for any changes.
Thanks for your help.

"Let's start making a difference together"
Prayer:
- One of the CRCA Pastors, Peter Abetz, is standing for parliament in this Saturday's WA State Election. We need great Pastors, and we need great Christian people in our parliaments: pray for the Lord's will to be done!
- Merle Digby has been very unwell - pray for the nearness of God's comfort and grace for Neville and Merle. Our comfort is that there is no place where we are outside of God's presence, and nothing that can separate us from his love!
- Pray for the Yr 12s as they've just gone through the Core Skills test. It can be a very stressful time for our young friends, so encourage them with your prayers and support
- Melody plans to return to Australia on Sat 13th. She's planning to continue her study (part time) and has applied for a chaplaincy position with SU - please pray for the Lord's guidance and wisdom
- There are about a billion RCRC young couples preparing for marriage - ask for God's grace as they build their lives together on Jesus the solid rock foundation
- Pray for the Mostert family
