Mid Week News
Saturday - Backyard Mission
Just a reminder that this Saturday is the first of 4 jobs before the end of the Year. It would be great to see a healthy turnout.
Address is 24 Sturgeon Street Ormiston at 8.15am. Please bring wiper snippers, mowers, trailers and hedgers"
Sunday
9am: Titus is to teach the Christians on the island of Crete to live good and godly lives, so as to make the gospel of Christ attractive. An excellent way to evangelize!
How are we enabled to live such lives? Because of grace! At the first coming of Christ we received 'grace upon grace'. Are we now eagerly awaiting the second coming of Christ, so that our salvation wil be complete!
This Sunday morning we have the baptism of Cooper Alleway.
5pm: This week in our Walk Through The Bible series, we come to the most relevant section - the Church. In thinking about the Church and our role in God's story, we really want to flesh out what it means to be blessed by God, and also what it means to be a blessing in the community around us. When we talk about hope for the Redlands, we're talking about US being a blessing in the Redlands. We're talking about being used by God to bring about his restoration in the Redlands. We really have been blessed to be a people who know God. But by blessing his people, God intends to make them a blessing to others.
Random passage this week: Anywhere from Acts - Jude. Text Clinton anytime on 0424477487.

New Elders
Frank Hemelaar and Dave Klease are bringing their service as elders to a close. They are served well and we thank God for the way he has worked through them. This means we need two new elders, so we're asking the congregation for nominations of men suitable to serve as elders. In addition to passages like 1 Tim 3, elders need to be supportive of RCRC's mission and vision, exemplary in their behaviour, and display gifts of leadership. You can email your suggestions to dave@redlandscrc.org.au, or even hand them through in written form. Closing date for suggestions is Nov 11. The elders will meet on that date to finalise nominations.
We ask you to prayerfully give this matter your consideration, and ask for the Lord's guidance as we choose new leaders.
