Mid Week News
Sunday
9am: We've seen them on the beach: red & yellow caps: eyes focused just beyond the breakers. Life savers are there for people who get into trouble and who cannot save themselves. Hardly a more relevant picture of Jesus. The big question is: do you need rescuing? Are you ‘getting into trouble' or ‘out of your depth?' Jesus is your Rescuer, and that is good news. Read ahead at Matt 18:1-25
Food Drive: Sunday
We're collecting HEAPS of food for Redlands Community Centre's Christmas food parcels: please, be very generous - there is a lot of hardship in our local community. Donations of non perishable food can be made on Sunday - let's fill the foyer!
Carols in The Carpark
On Sunday night from about 5:30pm. It's a great way to share the good news of Jesus with our community - invite everyone!
Wednesday Night Prayer meetings
We'll be meeting again in early February. Until then, keep praying at home and in your small groups.
Christmas Lunch @ RCRC
Not everyone has somewhere to go on Christmas Day. For some, it is a very lonely day. So, we're wanting to provide a caring, happy environment - not to mentioning a smashing good Christmas Dinner - to all and any who may want to come.
This idea has been very warmly received by the RCRC family, and a dedicated team of people is now making this happen. There are invite flyers in the foyer for you to pass on to people you know who you'd like to invite.
If you'd like to come, or be part of the team, please email Dave dave@redlandscrc.org.au or Margaret mnugent@redlandscrc.org.au.
Prayer
- New Elders kev Hudson and Frank Lanaro will be installed in their new role in the am service on Dec 14. (This Sunday) God has blessed us with diligent leaders - give thanks!
- Boundary Rd: Pray that a buyer may be found for the Boundary Rd and that a fair price may be received. A good sale will release resources to reduce debt, and that would be a very good thing. E do not doubt that God will hear our prayers because of Jesus!
- A family from Wellington Point State School is undergoing a great time of trial. The mother is suffering from cancer and the father has ceased work to be her carer. RCRC has sent some financial support - what they really need is strength to go on, not to mention recovery and healing for the Mum.
- Pray for our local community, and ask for opportunities to share the hope of Jesus this Christmas. Remember that the Carols and the Christmas Dinner are expressions of our desire to ‘Go' - please prayerfully support them.
