Sunday: Fire & Flood Relief Collection

This Sunday Redlands CRC will hold a special relief appeal for the victims of fires in Victoria and the floods in northern Queensland.

We will pass on the full 100% of Sunday's giving, with 50% to flood relief and 50% to the bushfire appeal.

Funds will be disbursed through the government appointed channels in each case

• Floods: The Premier's Relief Fund
• Fires: The Australian Red Cross

In both cases the agencies have guaranteed that that 100% of donations will be given to people in the worst affected areas.

These agencies have a proven track record, the necessary infrastructure, and public accountability.

We encourage the entire church family to give generously and to assist those who have been traumatised by these terrible disasters.

Remember how the King will reply, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me." (Matt 25:40)

Please continue to pray for the many families affected and the thousands of homeless. Pray for churches and emergency aid organisations as they seek to bring help and assistance in this very difficult time.
