Dan Kroon
This week the Elders discussed Dan Kroon's appointment at Redlands CRC. Last March, before we heard the wonderful news about Clinton, we agreed to appoint Dan full time until the end of June 2009. Things changed a little when the Elders approved Clinton's request for extended leave.
We want to affirm Dan, and we remain thankful for the great work he's doing. Yet the end of June will be here before we know it, and we would not relish the prospect of Dan's work coming to an abrupt close at that time.
So we want to recommend to the congregation that Dan's full time appointment be extended to the end of 2009.
We will bring this as a formal recommendation to a forthcoming breakfast meeting in March. We just wanted to let you know about this in advance so we can all prayerfully consider.
