When our focus is properly fixed on God, on fearing him, we can begin to gain a true perspective of ourselves. Once we know who God is - our Creator and Redeemer - we can figure out who we are. And James tells us that we are a mist. A mist that appears for a short time and then vanishes. Compared to our Eternal, Almighty God, we are nothing. And we are definitely not the centre of the universe. When we realise that we gain wisdom - a true perspective. And with that knowledge God's love for us is even more amazing. And the plans for our lives become more meaningful than ever! Have a read of Psalm 90.
