Growing Together- Encourage One Another
Ask yourself this question: “Do I really believe that I need encouragement to maintain my faith?” The answer should be yes. In fact, we are commanded ‘encourage one another’. If we want to be growing together we need to be a community that builds each other up. Some of us will need encouragement every day, some of us will need it only some weeks or months, but it is certain that we will all need it at some time. As kids, we may have sung ‘Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me’. Now we know that this is simply not true. Names hurt, words can hurt. But the Bible tells us that God wants us to use our words to help others, not hurt. We should be known as a community of encouragers who let our words and actions positively impact every interaction we have.

“What God Requires”, Encountering Christ in Micah.
God demands righteousness, but would he ask us to do something that we couldn’t do within our own strength? What hope is there? We look to the prophecy of Micah for the answer.
