Live and Let Die
Live and let die is the title of a 1973 James Bond movie and the theme song of the same name was written by Peter and Linda McCartney. The lyrics depict a change of attitude in life from the fearless outlook ‘let and let live’ of our youthful days to a self-aware realist perspective that death, is an inevitable outcome for each and every one of us.
There is no avoidance. There is no escape. There is no hope.
Or is there?

Growing Together: Bear One Another
Do you know any annoying people who get on your nerves? That’s quite natural because we are all different to each other, so there are times when we will irritate one another. There will be some who irritate you, but you can be assured that there will be others whom you irritate. The issue is how we handle each other. We have been working through a series on -Growing Together’ and the challenge today is to bear with one another. God calls us to bear one another in love. We might be tempted to think that the word ‘bear’ here means to support someone in a rough time, but it actually means to forgive someone’s irritating faults, to not give up on them. We honestly can only do that through the love of Christ. Paul doesn’t say it will be easy, but we are called to do it. As we put up with each other, and forgive when we need to, the body will be built up. Is there anyone you need to bear with?
