At the time of Jesus’ arrest, the gospel writer Luke reports Jesus saying to his captors: “Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me.But this is your hour – when darkness reigns(22:53).’ Throughout Friday and Saturday that darkness reigns in every sense of the word, spiritually, physically and emotionally. History is covered in blackness. But then… “… early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb…(John 20:1).” What she finds there changes everything! Please join us on Sunday morning as we journey through this passage and in some way come to terms with what happened in that dark, dusty, moldy tomb and why it above any other historical event has the power to turn our lives around.
