“Jesus love me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” Perhaps the greatest strength of this children’s hymn is it’s sheer simplicity of truth. Yet any critic has to ask: “is ‘… for the Bible tells me so…’ a good enough foundation to build a worldview on and indeed entrust your very life to? How do we know the Bible is true? How do we know it’s not tampered with? Is there anything that can give us assurance that it is reliable? This Sunday night we kick off a series of apologetics sermons. Apologetics means ‘to defend’. In the case of this series we’ll give a defense of various Christian doctrines and beliefs that are often put forward to discount the credibility of the Christian faith. This series will be immensely helpful for anyone skeptic of the Christian faith but keen to do more investigation. Furthermore, it will be a very valuable for time for Christians to grow in their understanding of why their faith is realistic and how it can be explained in conversations with friends and family who ask the hard questions. You are more than welcome to join us.
