C.S. Lewis once wrote: “There have been times when I think we do not desire heaven, but more often I find myself wondering whether in our heart of hearts, we have ever desired anything else…” Mankind’s greatest efforts and greatest desire in history have been to have what Christianity calls ‘heaven’, a place where among other things life endures, death is absent, health abounds and nothing but joy is known. Virtually everything we do on earth is a striving to make this a reality and every fear we face is because it won’t be. It’s into this fear that Jesus speaks in John 16:1-6 when he says “Do not let your hearts be troubled…”
Please join us on Sunday afternoon as we marvel, take in and enjoy the beauty of a Christian’s unshakable security over the future.
