This subject of making plans is very relevant for us today, for we all make plans of one sort or another. Plans for college and jobs; Plans for relationships, marriage and family; Plans for holidays and retirement; Plans for our future. Making plans, in itself, is not wrong. In Paul’s letter he often made plans regarding his travels through the churches. In fact, making plans making plans (or setting goals) is a key to success in any venture we may undertake in life. But there is a “right” way to plan, and a “wrong” way; and James discusses both, which we will, look at tonight.
