What’s your only comfort in life and death? That I am not my own but belong, body and soul, in life and death, to my faithful Saviour Jesus Christ. These words from the Heidelberg Catechism are a beautiful expression of trust in the sufficiency of Jesus to look after us both now and forever. While they were written hundreds of years after the New Testament and they express the Christian’s trust in Christ, we find that on the cross Jesus models for us in a striking way what it means to ultimately trust God with everything. Sunday night we’ll unpack it more. Please join us.
