Psalm 101 is a psalm of commitment. In line after line, David speaks to God, and those who listen, and tells Him what he will do. It almost comes across as bravado or arrogance. Yet, it’s worth asking whether this is something we should
be doing? How does committing fit with grace? Do we imply that we can make ourselves good if we make commitments? These are some of the things we will consider as we examine the commitments David makes in Psalm 101.
