As we come to the end of another big year in the church I think it is only fitting that we show our appreciation for each of you in the congregation. There are times when we are guilty of taking you for granted. Like most churches, we’ve seen our share of highs and lows over the year. During times of growth and ministry success, we ask for more. When giving does not meet budget, we ask for more. When children’s ministry wears out volunteers, we seek fresh recruits. Our tendency is to ask for more out of those who already give so much. So we want to pause today and say ‘Thank You!’ We know you help carry the load. As Paul reminds us in Philippians 1, God wants us to partner and share with Him in His mission to bring the gospel of hope, mercy, justice, and salvation to others. God also wants us to partner and join with other believers so that together we can minister with shared strength, support, and encouragement. We do that together in this congregation and we can’t do it without you. For us to run effectively we need each of you doing your bit. We know you don’t get paid, but we want you to know that we love, appreciate and value everything you do. And we thank God for His gracious provision.
