To paraphrase a song from Rihanna, all we seem to hear is work, work, work, work work. It’s a pretty fair assessment of most of our lives. We spend most of our lives either physically or mentally at work, for many of us we spend more time with our colleagues than we do our own family. Yet one day when we take our last breaths what will our work mean? Not much according to Solomon, the man who’s work was more majestic and memorable than any of ours. It’s another pretty grim picture from the man who had it all. But wait there’s more because this week we begin to find hope. Hope in a God who wants us to enjoy his world and a God who want’s us to find eternal satisfaction in him!
